New Zealand made it to their second World Cup finals in a row
At the start of the World Cup, no one predicted that New Zealand would make the top four. But as usual, they punched above their weight. New Zealand had a tremendous start to their World Cup campaign by winning five out of their first six games.

However, they suffered a few setbacks and lost their last three league games which saw them finish in fourth place on the points table. Despite entering the semi-finals on a losing streak, New Zealand showed a lot of grit and determination against India and sealed their place in the finals.
However, the Kiwis failed to lift the trophy after a terrific performance in the finals against England which saw both teams tied up even after the completion of the super over. However, England lifted the trophy due to the ICC’s boundary count rule.
Kane Williamson was New Zealand’s standout player with 578 runs and he was named the Player of the Tournament. Though the Kiwis didn't win the World Cup, they won a lot of hearts for the way they conducted themselves throughout the tournament.

A wrestling aficionado since childhood, Sunil used to imitate his favorite wrestlers as a young kid, and started writing professionally about the sport via Sportskeeda’s revenue-sharing opportunity.
Sunil admires former world champions AJ Styles, Will Ospreay, and Kenny Omega for their ability to consistently deliver great matches as well as entertain crowds with their mic skills.
If ever given a chance to change a storyline, Sunil would have booked Roman Reigns to end The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak instead of Brock Lesnar. According to him, The Tribal Chief needed the victory more than Brock Lesnar, as the latter was already an established performer when he defeated ‘Taker. He would’ve also made that as Taker’s final match.
Always focused on making his work accurate and reliable, Sunil thoroughly checks his facts before writing his articles. When not writing for pro wrestling, he spends his time watching cricket.
