Yuvraj Singh slams hat-trick of centuries in Ranji Trophy

Yuvraj Singh

In the last one month, Yuvraj Singh has been dropped from the 2015 World Cup 30-man probables squad, IPL outfit Royal Challengers Bangalore’s 2015 set-up and BCCI's contract list. All these, however, don’t seem to be affecting the Punjab batsman, who has hit his third century in as many matches in the ongoing Ranji season.

Following his hundreds in the first two matches of the season, against Haryana and Maharashtra respectively, Yuvraj has now raced to another century against Saurashtra at Rajkot and is currently batting on 106, with the scoreboard reading 348/3 into the first session of Day 2.

Punjab have won both their matches so far, against Haryana by 120 runs and Maharashtra by 3 wickets.

59, 130, 136, 13 and 106*: Yuvraj’s scores in the last 5 innings. With 444 runs so far, the 33-year-old southpaw tops the list of leading run-getters this season, followed by Tamil Nadu batsman Abhinav Mukund at the second spot with 414 runs to his name.

Yuvraj, who last represented India in international cricket back in April 2014, was discarded by the national selectors after a series of disappointing shows in the World Cup T20 tournament held in Bangladesh.
