They left behind the team from Hong Kong to claim the third position. However, the country that took away the gold at this event was Kazakhastan, who put up a good show. The second place was taken by UAE.

“This is event where World No. 6 cyclist Sahil had to participate and India was confident of Gold but due to injury in training session, however despite having suffered the loss of a strong payer our team bagged the bronze medal.” said RK Sharma, Coach Indian Team.

India’s Emerson and P Sanuraj will play for bronze medal after the qualifier round today. The interesting part would be to see which of the two Indian boys would take the medal home, since they will be pitted against each other at the finals of the Sprint event tomorrow. Chun Long Leung and TSZ Chun Law of Hong Kong will be competing with each other for the gold and silver position respectively tomorrow at the event.
