Nine-member road cycling team launched by Firefox

Firefox bikes have announced the formation of a nine-man road cycling team, the first of its kind in India. The team comprises of national level cyclists Adarsh Saxena, Jethuram Ghat, Mudit Sharma, Rahul Singh, Rajnish Kumar, Sachin Panwar, Satpal Singh, Suresh Bishnoi and Richard McDowell.

The cyclists will be provided with state of the art facilities and training from some of the best coaches in the world. Acclaimed coach Srinath Rajan will be the team’s mentor with backing from the Peaks coaching group.

MD Shiv Inder Singh, on the occasion of the launch, said, “It’s our attempt to work with India’s best young cyclists and their coaches’ majority of them aged between 17-21 years. The key feature of Team Trek Firefox is the use of sophisticated electronic measuring devices to monitor and constantly improve power, and strength out of the cyclist.”

Coach Srinath also stressed on the fact that the endeavour will be to provide these youngsters with a platform to enhance their careers by giving them racing experience and high quality training.
