Rockstar warns that GTA V may face launch problems

Recently many big titles seem to have run into some major launch day problems. This includes Halo: The Masterchief Collection so its no surprise that Rockstar games are even expecting some trouble of their own during the launch of Grand Theft Auto V for Xbox One and PS4. But at least they’re honest about the issues players may face and are even including a day one patch to hopefully avoid any possible problems that may arise during launch day.

“We have, of course, tested the game extensively but there is no way our several hundred testers can be quite as comprehensive as millions of players! Please bear with us should any issues arise — we will be working hard to fix any problems that arise, and generally ensure this launch is as smooth as possible.”

Rockstar has confirmed that a day one patch will be available for download on Monday, a day before the games release. The patch will include last minute bug fixes and optimizations that will hopefully give the game a smoother launch. But despite the update, Rockstar has warned that the game may still face some trouble so don’t be surprised if you encounter any of it, especially given the massive influx of players expected on the first day of the launch. The devs of course would appreciate the players assistance in reporting these issues so they can get it fixed as soon as possible.

Hopefully history does not repeat itself this time. The initial launch of GTA V for Xbox 30 and PS3 last year ran into some trouble when players could not connect to the severs for several hours.

Grand Theft Auto V will be releasing on November 18th for the PS4 and Xbox One.
