Jockey Rosie Napravnik on Shanghai Bobby (R) fights for a victory against Mario Gutierez on He’s Had Enough (2ndR) at the Breeders’ Cup Juvenille at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California.

ARCADIA, California - Shanghai Bobby won the $2 million, 1 1/16-mile Breeders’ Cup Juvenile on Saturday, holding off He’s Had Enough in a stretch duel to remain unbeaten in five career starts.

The 2-year-old, trained by Todd Pletcher, looked to be in trouble at the top of the Santa Anita finishing straight, but dug in under jockey Rosie Napravnik to edge He’s Had Enough by a head.

Capo Bastone was third in the race, traditionally seen as a signpost to next year’s Kentucky Derby.

Napravnik joined Julie Krone as the only women jockeys to win a Breeders’ Cup race.
