Cristiano Ronaldo held the title of the world’s most expensive footballer for a total of three years before Los Blancos splurged €100 million on the services of Gareth Bale from Tottenham Hotspur. The Welshman had arrived on the European footballing scene with a devastating performance against Inter Milan in the Champions League.
Bale was bought as an additional arrow in Real Madrid bow with a view to eventually replicate the Portuguese’s output at Real Madrid. While Ronaldo may still be the star of the show in Madrid, there are some things which the Welshman does better than his Portuguese partner.
On FIFA 17, Bale surprisingly is better at heading the ball than Ronaldo, who has made a habit out of popping up in the box at exactly the right time.
Bale is also better than his partner in crime at putting free-kicks on goal, while also being the more aggressive of the two. Bale is also more of a provider to the cold-blooded finisher that is Ronaldo and as a result, he is also better at whipping in the crosses with his extraordinary vision attributes.
