#4 Toni Kroos
The German central midfielder is Real Madrid's midfield metronome. Responsible for setting the tempo of the game and retaining the ball, it is rare to see Der Sniper misplace a pass or lose his cool in possession. Little wonder then, that he was the centrepiece of Pep Guardiola's Bayern Munich team before moving to Real Madrid.
Given that Cristiano Ronaldo is a winger/striker and Kroos a world class midfielder, there are bound to be certain attributes where one is better the other as the two positions require different skillsets. As a result, the German is obviously a better passer than Madrid's No.7 who is not known for his passing anyway.
Kroos is known as the Sniper for a reason and his vision and passing execution is as precise as it gets. His free-kick delivery is also exceptional and his dead ball skills are the common denominator for most of Sergio Ramos heroic headers from corners and free-kicks while also being able to slip in crucial second assists to the club’s much-vaunted attackers.
