The first officially confirmed 120 FPS game for the Nintendo Switch 2 was Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. Latest in Retro Studios' FPS take on the beloved Metroidvania saga starring the iconic bounty hunter Samus Aran, the game was confirmed to have the mode at the Nintendo Direct April 2025 showcase. It runs at 1080p when docked and 720p in handheld mode.

A launch title for the console, Welcome Tour is a paid demo that helps familiarize users with the capabilities of the hybrid platform via various mini-games.
