Apex Legends, developed by Respawn Entertainment, is a free-to-play Battle Royale game that has taken the world by a storm since its release earlier in February 2019. The steady growth of the game has allowed the company behind the franchise and Twitch Rivals to partner up to host a competition even before the title turns a month old.
With a massive prize pool of $200,000, the game will feature some of the best streamers from around the globe. The prize pool is split in half between Europe and North America with the first-place team receiving $8,000.

The Apex Legends Challenge will be broadcasted live on the official Twitch Rivals channel. Additionally, it could also be streamed on various official channels of the competitors of the event.

Complete Schedule of Apex Legends Challenge
The Apex Legends Challenge has already started with one European leg and one North American leg being completed on 12 February 2019.
Team King’s Canyon won the North American tournament on 12 February 2019 while the European tournament saw team MANE at the top.
The second Europe leg and the North American bracket begins on 19 February 2019 at 17:00 GMT.
The Format of the Tournament
A total of 60 streamers (30 from Europe and 30 from North America) will take part in the event. The thirty players are split into ten teams, which will compete from the grand prize on online public servers. Players will be given unlimited tries to build a high score within the stipulated two-hour time period.
The scoring system of the tournament is outlined below:
- Match Victory - 10 points
- 2nd or 3rd place - 5 points
- 4th or 5th place - 3 points
- Additionally, each kill secures one point.
Apex Legends is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows.
