Apex Legends: ESPN delays Apex tournament broadcast
This comes out after the tragic mass shootings that occurred in the United States of America last weekend. The telecast is now delayed “out of respect for the victims and all those impacted in the immediate aftermath of the shootings.”
The run was initially scheduled for August 10. It has been reported that now it will be broadcasted on October 6 at 5 p.m. ET on ESPN 2, with reruns on October 15 and October 27.
Gaming has been a hot topic in the past week. American President Donald Trump recently took a charge at Video Games in general. “We must stop the glorification of violence in our society,” Trump said during a press conference on Monday.
That being said, there is a lot to look forward to if you are an Apex player. Season 2 is already running and the game will finally get a "Solo Queue" option. Apex Legends is a pretty unique game in the genre of Battle Royale. The game lets you play in a team of 3, but that's it! There is no Solo Queue option which is very strange since every other popular Battle Royale has a solo option. Nevertheless, now you can go solo and enjoy the game.
However, the Solo Queue mode will only be available only for a limited time period. This is a very strange move since it is not something that resonates with limited-time events properly. Every other Battle Royale has a Solo queue option and its very common.
Although Solo mode is temporary, expect it to be permanent somewhere down the line. Solo mode opens a different dimension in the game. For months now players have been calling for a solo mode because it's generally difficult to perform in a team setup (at least for some players). Players who are super aggressive and love to go all out would probably love this game mode.
