Apex Legends, one of the most critically acclaimed battle royale titles of the year, has become a huge talking point in the gaming community.

After the surprise reveal and launch of EA's and Respawn Entertainment's free-to-play Battle Royale debut title "Apex Legends", it has been making new records with each passing day. Apex Legends has crossed the reigning titans of the battle royale genre - PUBG and Fortnite Battle Royale - in total players count.

Apex Legends has more than 25 million players who have downloaded and played the game on their respective platforms.

Meanwhile, in a recent investors call, Andrew Wilson, the current acting CEO of EA was quoted as saying:

As I said earlier, we are looking at how to take the game to mobile and cross-play over time, and I also expect that this game will have tremendous value in Asia, and we’re in conversations about that.

This single quote has filled millions of mobile platform players with hope; they can rejoice that their favorite game will be available on mobile soon. The Apex Legends mobile release date is something that will be looked forward to with great anticipation.

But for now the biggest question is: what impact will Apex Legends Mobile have on PUBG Mobile and Fortnite Battle Royale Mobile?

Both these games have been doing great in terms of sales and customer satisfaction. PUBG's continuous updates with new contents have drawn a huge number of players who like to play the game in hand-held devices. PUBG mobile even earned various awards at the Google Play Awards 2018.

Meanwhile, the cross-play feature of Fortnite Battle Royale Mobile has done the same.

These two games are great in every aspect so far. Will the arrival of Apex Legends Mobile take away the audience of both the games, or will they manage to tackle the threat somehow.?

The way I see it, if EA and Respawn Entertainment pull off a good mobile version of Apex Legends, it will without a doubt hamper the PUBG and Fortnite player base. It will be up to the other two games to step up and introduce new elements if they want to retain their audience.
