Bayern Munich superstar is the latest top player on FIFA Mobile, leads Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar
What's the story?
FIFA Mobile and its weird rating system never cease to baffle us and the newest top players include the likes of Patrice Evra and Radja Nainggolan among other illustrious names. However, the latest top player on FIFA Mobile is none other than Bayern Munich's James Rodriguez, who heads the rating leaderboard ahead of Evra, Nainggolan, Neymar and Thiago Alcantara, who completes the top five.
In case you didn't know...
FIFA Mobile, unlike FIFA 18, updates its player ratings very frequently and Futhead.com's FIFA Mobile rating leaderboard is often dominated by Elite Card players whose ratings are almost always 100, or 99 at the very least.
The heart of the matter
FIFA Mobile's Elite Card players dominate the rating leaderboard and it is no surprise that Rodriguez's Elite Card is currently the top card in the game. The Colombian, who recently joined Bayern Munich on loan from Real Madrid, boasts a 100-rated card with his shooting, dribbling and passing stats well over the 100-mark.
The other players below Rodriguez are also rated 100 but are sorted to be placed below the Colombian in Futhead.com's latest release. In comparison to Rodriguez's Elite Card, the top two players in the world right now - Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi - have 99-rated Gold Cards.
Rodriguez aside, Neymar is perhaps the only elite category player to feature in the top 10 of FIFA Mobile's latest rating with the PSG star earning a 100-rated Elite Card with an insane 104 for pace. Other players in the current top 10 include random names such as Leighton Baines and Lucas Biglia.
FIFA Mobile will be back with another set of ratings at the start of November and rest assured, another surprising name will be heading the list, as has been the case over the recent past. The new version of FIFA Mobile is set to be launched this November with quite a few new features among the highlights of the latest version.
This could be the last player ranking update in FIFA Mobile before the newest edition kicks in this November. For whatever weird reason the likes of Rodriguez, Evra and Nainggolan are ahead of many of their more accomplished peers, it still is fun to see them over the likes of Messi and Ronaldo.
