IEM Rio 2024 will begin with a Group Stage where the 16 teams will be divided into two groups of eight each. The full schedule along with the match results are as follows:

IEM Rio 2024 format and prize pool

CS2 IEM Rio 2024 will be played out in two stages: the Group Stage and the Playoffs. The Group Stage will consist of opening matches with a BO1 format. These matches can be seen in the schedule section.

All the games after these opening matches will have a BO3 format. The top three teams from each group will earn their spot in the Playoffs. The Group Stage winners advance directly to the Semi-Finals, the runner-ups get to the Quarter-Finals as the high seed, and the team in the third place goes in as the low seed.

Finally, the Playoffs will have a Single-Elimination Bracket and all matches will be BO3. The prize pool of CS2 IEM Rio 2024 consists of $250,000 and will be divided among the top three four teams as follows:

• 1st place: $100,000 + qualification to IEM Katowice 2024
• 2nd place: $42,000
• 3rd-4th place: $20,000

The rest of the amount will be distributed among the rest of the teams based on their overall standing in the S-tier tournament.
