Dark Souls II: Scholar Of The First Sin to contain all 3 DLC, more

Dark Souls II released earlier this year for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3, selling over a million copies in its first month. The game is the third in the “Souls” series by Bandai Namco and From Software. It was however not released for the next-gen consoles, despite being launched in 2014.

But Bandai Namco and From Softwares have now corrected that by releasing an enhanced and improved port version of the game for the next-gen consoles. And by the looks of it, Dark Souls II: Scholar Of The First Sin is not going to be another cheap release to rake in the money.

The original Dark Souls II consisted of 3 DLC’s, adding tons of new features and story depth to the vanilla game. Scholars Of The First Sin will be matching this by consisting of all 3 of these DLC’s as well as updated graphics suited for next-gen consoles.

From Software will also be releasing a free patch for the core game which will include a number of changes like additional NPCs, balance changes and improved multiplayer capacity.

Scholar Of The First Sin will also be getting a number of changes like increased player capacity on co-op mode and mission strands. So this is great news for new-gen consoles users as the DLCs offer a ton of content which will take hours to play through.

According to Bandai Namco’s Director of Marketing for Dark Souls, Brian Hong, the vanilla playthrough alone takes 8-10 hours depending on skill level.

So fans can expect a lot of content and tons of play time with this release. Dark Souls II: Scholar Of The First Sin is slated to release on the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and PC on April 7th, 2015.

From Software is also set to release its newest title Bloodborne next year as well.
