Does Infinity Nikki have Multiplayer and co-op?

Paper Games released Infinity Nikki on December 5, 2024, on multiple platforms, making it the fifth game in the series. The game follows Nikki and her feline friend Mono, while they explore the world of Miraland. It is a third-person open-world game, with a focus on collecting dresses to acquire power-ups. However, one of the major queries that the fans of the franchise have is whether the game will feature a co-op and multiplayer mode or not.

As of December 5, 2024, no co-op or multiplayer mode has been announced for the game. However, seeing as the game was just released, we can still expect these game modes to arrive in future updates.

Will Infinity Nikki get Multiplayer and co-op features in the future?

Although the co-op and multiplayer features are yet to be released, the information page of the Infinity Nikki clearly states 'five online players'. This signifies that the game is designed to support multiple players.

Another positive news for the fans anticipating co-op of multiplayer features comes from an IGN interview with Kentaro Tominaga, one of the developers of the game. When asked if Infinity Nikki would provide any methods of communication, he said:

"Of course it will be possible to upload pictures and share them with other players within the game. Players can also join the world of other players to take pictures together. Players can become friends within the game through photography, and we are definitely thinking about ways for players to communicate."

Although he did not explicitly state that the game will have a co-op or multiplayer mode, players will be able to join each others' worlds. This feature further confirms the possibility of some form of interactive gameplay.

Another thing we need to consider is the gameplay trailer, which did not feature any form of multiplayer content. However, this could mean that there is no co-op planned so far for Infinity Nikki.
