Phantom Lancer is a melee Agility hero who suits the carry role because of his abilities. His ability to create an army of his illusions makes him elusive and a threat to a line up that does not have anything to control illusions. Playing as Phantom Lancer requires positioning and micromanagement or else his illusions will create a problem for the player instead of helping them. Most of his abilities create illusions one way or the another. His Spirit Lance ability has a moderate level of nuke damage and it also creates an illusion. His 2nd ability doppelganger helps him create more illusion and escape or attack enemies while hiding behind his illusions as the ability also changes his position and makes it harder for enemies to catch the real Phantom Lancer. His 3rd ability allows him to close the distance between him and his target and makes it easier for him to jump on ranged enemies. His ultimate Juxtapose gives him the ability to create a huge number of illusions, confusing his enemies and at the same time making him elusive. Phantom Lancer is a very mobile hero who is hard catch and hard to kill in a one on one situation, it is even hard to catch him by ganking unless you have a proper line up to do so.

Abilities-

Spirit Lance:

Azwraith's proficiency at spearing his family's meal of fish is proving quite useful in the battlefield.

Phantom Lancer sends an illusion to an enemy unit that damages and slows the enemy unit and creates an illusion to attack the enemy unit further.

Cast Animation: 0.3+0.73

Cast Range: 750

Damage: 100/150/200/250

Move Speed Slow: 10%/20%/30%/40%

Illusion Damage Taken: 400%

Illusion Damage Dealt: 20%

Illusion Duration: 2/4/6/8

Notes:

1. Spirit Lance has a traveling speed of 1000

2. Aghanim update causes spirit lance to bounce to nearby enemies.

3. Spirit Lance first applies the debuff then the damage.

4. The illusion spawns 58 range away from the target at a random spot.

5. Illusions of Phantom Lancer that are within 675 range of Phantom Lancer cast a fake spirit lance just to confuse the enemy.

6. The illusions copy the entire cast animation and release their spirit lance exactly when the real one is cast.

7. The fake lance does not deal any damage or slow or create an illusion.

8. If the illusions have no order and standing still then they turn toward the target and then releases their fake Spirit Lance.

9. The illusion created by spirit lance has a static 5 gold bounty which does not increase with hero level.

10. Spirit Lance does not bounce on invisible units or units in the fog of war.

11. Does not bounce on the same target twice per cast.

Doppelganger:

Dread Magus Vorn's death imbued the Phantom Lancer with the ability to blend with all spectrums of light.

Phantom Lancer briefly vanishes from the battlefield. After 1 second, Phantom Lancer and any of his nearby illusions reappear at a random position within the targeted location, along with two additional doppelgangers. Extends the duration of all illusions. The two added doppelgangers have different properties: one takes normal damage and deals none, while the other takes 600% damage and deals 20% damage.

Notes:

1. Doppelganger disjoints projectiles upon cast.

2. Applies a basic dispel on phantom Lancer upon cast.

3. Phantom Lancer his illusions are invulnerable and disappeared until the reappear.

4. Phantom Lancer cannot act during the cast time, any order given to him will work after he reappears

5. Phantom Lancer and his Doppelgangers re appears facing the direction PL was facing before disappearing.

6. All illusions gathered during the cast gets their duration increased.

7. Only Doppelganger illusion bounty scales with the hero level, other illusions have a static gold bounty.

8. Doppelganger cannot be interrupted unless PL has died. If he is glimpsed during the cast he will still appear in the targeted area.

9. Destroys trees in 200 radius around Phantom Lancer and reappearing illusions.

Phantom Rush:

Azwraith knows that on the field of battle, speed can mean everything.

When targeting an enemy for an attack, Phantom Lancer quickly charges into range, gaining a temporary agility boost upon reaching the target. Phantom Lancer's illusions also have this ability.

Minimum Proc Distance: 250

Maximum Proc Distance: 600/700/800/900

Haste Speed: 800

Agility Bonus: 6/14/22/30

Max Rush Duration: 5

Agility Duration: 2

Cooldown: 16/12/8/4

Notes:

1. Phantom Rush can trigger on any target. Including wards and building.

2. Needs a direct attack order to trigger. Auto attack does not trigger rush.

3. Disarm or ethereal form does not stop the spell from triggering.

4. Attack immune target will not be targeted.

5. After it is triggered it grants rush buff. Haste and phase movement.

6. This means his movement speed cannot be slowed and he can move through units except terrain.

7. The rush buff is lost if phantom lancer is stunned, hexed, hit by a tornado, hidden or in sleep.

8. Root does not stop the buff.

9. If the target is hidden or lost in the fog of war phantom rush takes phantom lancer to the target’s last known location.

10. Phantom Lancer gains the agility buff once the rush is over and he hits the target.

11. If the rush is stopped by anything other than himself hitting the target then the buff will not be gained.

Juxtapose:

Each of Azwraith's lance attacks feels like two from a normal warrior, or three; or four.

Phantom Lancer has a chance to fracture his presence, creating an illusion of himself. Illusions also have a chance to fracture further. Illusions created from Phantom Lancer last for 8 seconds, while illusions created from other illusions last 4 seconds.

1. The chance to spawn illusion only triggers upon attacking.

2. Juxtapose uses Pseudo-Random Distribution.

3. Illusions of juxtapose attacks the target they were created upon.

4. Juxtapose uses phantom rush if the primary target is in range.

5. Juxtapose illusions have a static 5 gold bounty and it does not increase with hero level.

6. Juxtapose works against wards but not buildings.

Unique Talent:

Critical Strike:

This talent works as a unique ability itself. It gives Phantom Lancer a chance to hit his enemies with a critical damage.

Proc Chance: 30%

Critical Damage: 200%

Notes:

1. Increases attack damage by an average of 30%

2. The proc chance stacks with other critical damage items.

3. If the other source and the talent procs at the same time then the higher multiplier gets the priority.

4. Critical strike works on Pseudo-Random distribution.

5. Does not work against wards, buildings, and friendly unit.
