How to complete the Sick Mother side quest in FANTASIAN Neo Dimension

En is a major village you'll visit in the game (Image via Square Enix)

Acquire this quest after recruiting Kina to your party. When Leo and Kina return from their encounter with Owen, they meet with a woman. She explains that an infection has gotten to her, but her son has gone missing and can't find him. She clarifies that he went outside to find something to help her. You are tasked with locating her son.

When you explore the area, you'll realize that the majority of the diseases in the region are related to Mechteria virus. As such, any Mechterian root is a great place to start searching for him.

Find the Son

Fortunately, earlier in the game, a mechtaria plant can be seen growing at the fortune-telling location Leo and Kina visited beforehand. Rush over there, and the son will be found investigating it.

Reach the point by traveling through the Mountain Path and then going back to Owen's house. You'll find the boy investigating the mysterious poppings toward the left of his home.

Convince him to go home

Choose the correct dialogue options to convince him to reunite with his sick mother. Choosing the wrong options will have him continue inspecting the Mechteria plants.

Choose these options to convince the boy:

• You're mother's looking for you
• Your mother is crying for you
• How could you make her cry like that?!
• Go home and let her know you're safe.

Choose the above options while conversing with the kid and he'll return to his mother. Once he reunites with her, she will reward Leo and Kina by giving them an Iron Key.

The Iron Key is an important item in the game, as it can open up some locked chests found on the map of FANTASIAN Neo Dimension.
