FIFA 18 has its fair share of star players and for obvious reasons. Football superstars are one of the reasons that the general public wishes to buy a video game and play with these real-life heroes. This year, there is no dispute that the star players have yet again proven themselves and make it atop the FIFA 18 rating ladder like they have done before.

Cristiano Ronaldo leads the way with an overall rating of 94 and Lionel Messi is close behind with 93. The duo is arguably the biggest two players in world football today and there is no doubt that most casual fans will be buying FIFA 18 this year just so that they can play with these two in their side.

The rating system developed by EA Sports sees some major adjustments this year apart from the regular chain of events. The emergence of mercurial talent in this past year, for example, has forced the need to give huge upgrades to certain players who most definitely deserve them. These players have become superstars pretty much overnight thanks to their ability to make an impression on the biggest stage. So here are 5 such players and their insane upgrades:

#5 Ousmane Dembele- 83 (+6)

Ousmane Dembele is one of those players who has had a meteoric rise to football stardom in a very short period of time. The Frenchman's recent big-money transfer to Barcelona was proof that the future is very bright for the youngster whose superior performances at Borussia Dortmund earned him huge praise as well as a 6-point upgrade from his FIFA 17 rating. His 91 pace and 88 dribbling make him a definite force to be reckoned with this year.
