The UEFA Champions League saw Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur battle it out in a nerve ending game last night. What came as a shock for Zinedine Zidane's side was Raphael Varane's own goal after facing immense pressure from Harry Kane. Cristiano Ronaldo, however, managed to score an equalising penalty for his side after Toni Kroos was brought down by Serge Aurier.

Interestingly, FIFA's biggest team community, Futhead.com saw a change in their FIFA 18 Ultimate Team updates after last night's match, where Tottenham's Christian Eriksen's passing stats have jumped to 90, which takes him a notch higher than Lionel Messi who's passing stats stand at 89.

After his team's draw against Real Madrid, Eriksen's stats have improved with his dribbling at 86 and shooting skills at 80. What grasped the attention of FIFA fans, however, was the Danish midfielder's passing stats.

Despite a rather slow and quiet performance last night, there were quite a few stunning passing and dribbling skills displayed by the midfielder. Madrid's Isco was seen overpowered by Eriksen after a classy bit of footwork that helped him gain an advantage. His momentary slip did not deter the Spur from getting the ball away from Isko. Eriksen's exhibition of skills, even if not leading to victory, did manage to grasp the attention of the crowds.

Fans took to Twitter to express their awe at the Danish midfielder's footwork that also led to his increasing stats according to Futhead.com.

Eriksen has overall had a good season, where he was seen scoring his match-winning strike against Bournemouth, that made it his third goal of the season. These were also accompanied by four assists that have led to this season being a remarkable spell for the Danish midfielder. With his 26th birthday approaching, Eriksen could well be playing at the peak of his career.

Spurs face Real Madrid once again on November 1st at Wembley and it is yet to be seen if Eriksen and his teammates are able to up their game in the group stage.

Meanwhile, Tottenham still remain unbeaten in the Champions League so far and have an upper hand at making it through the league's knockout stages.
