Manchester United v Chelsea - Premier League
Ancelotti must be reacting the same way after seeing FIFA 18's ratings

What's the story?

So it seems that players are not the only ones unhappy with their FIFA 18 rating. The much-decorated former Chelsea and Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti's manager card was leaked online on Reddit and fans were stunned to see his rating. The current Bayern Munich manager has only been rated silver in Ultimate Team.

In case you didn't know...

Ultimate Team is an online game mode on FIFA which allows you to customise your own squad with the world’s best players. The aim is to win matches to get coins, which will be spent on packs. These packs give you cards that have players, tactics, fitness levels and even managers.

The heart of the matter

The Italian's future has long been debated but the Bundesliga side are putting all their faith behind him. When he joined Bayern, he led them to a Bundesliga title in 2016, but only made it as far as the quarterfinals in the UEFA Champions League. As a result of this, the fans started to become disillusioned with him.

However, the three-time Champions League winner's lowly rating in FIFA 18 Ultimate Team has caused quite a stir on social media, and here are the best reactions:

What's next?

The Ancelotti silver card is not the only grievance being displayed. A number of Liverpool fans are livid because they feel that the players have been rated less than they deserve. The likes of Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane are the players in question. There was also a tweet regarding the Ancelotti snub.

Author's take

Admittedly, many gamers do not normally pay much attention to the managers since it is the players who are the main attraction. But it has to be said that it is a bit strange that a manager of one of the Bundesliga's top teams has been classified as a silver manager. Add to that, Ancelotti's impressive portfolio of three Champions League medals and four league titles in four different countries. So one has to wonder, is EA usually this controversial or do they do this just to annoy people? You decide.
