FIFA 18 ratings: Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez rated higher than Gareth Bale and Antoine Griezmann, leaves fans fuming

Stoke City v Arsenal - Premier League
Alexis Sanchez has been rated the third best player in the Premier League in FIFA 18

What's the story?

As per the newly released FIFA 18 player ratings, Arsenal's Chilean forward, Alexis Sanchez has an overall rating of 89, which ranks him as the 14th best player in the game. The Chilean's statistics see him finish ahead of La Liga stars like Gareth Bale and Antoine Griezmann in the FIFA rankings. This comes after the 28-year-old endured difficult weeks with Arsenal and his national team.

In case you didn't know...

Ratings for the upcoming instalment of FIFA were being released by EA Sports in the form of a countdown which culminated in Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Neymar being revealed as the top three players in the game.

The heart of the matter

As the 14th best player in the game, Sanchez has impressive statistics in the form of an 84 rating for shooting, an 86 pace rating and a dribbling rating of 89. Such impressive numbers see him finish ahead of Madrid based La Liga forwards Gareth Bale and Antoine Griezmann of Atletico Madrid.

Not only this, Sanchez is also better than fellow Premier League stars Sergio Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne, something which has been met with much skepticism across the FIFA community with fans venting their ire online.

What's next?

The demo to be released later today will give a taste of what fans can expect from the game to be released on the 29th of September. Also, we now know the best players in the Premier League are David De Gea, Eden Hazard and Alexis Sanchez.

Author's take

Alexis Sanchez's 89 rating puts him ahead of world class Premier League stars and also the third best player in the Premier League. Despite the Chilean's undoubted class, there does seem to be something amiss in the fact that he is rated ahead of Premier League stars like Gareth Bale and Antoine Griezmann.

Although fans may deem his rating as excessive, Sanchez's 89 rating will do little to comfort Arsenal fans smarting after a big 4-0 defeat to Premier League rivals Liverpool.
