What's the story?
PSG have been making all the news lately following their world record transfer for Neymar Jr. from Barcelona. Recently, the Paris club did some more world record business by bringing French prospect Kylian Mbappe to the club on a loan deal with an option to buy for a hefty sum of money.
While UEFA is busy trying to investigate the blatant flouting of rules by the club, it appears that Mbappe may not even be a PSG player when FIFA 18 releases later this month. Sources close to EA have said that Mbappe and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are among the many players who will not be shown playing for their new clubs in FIFA 18 as the transfers were completed after the game was initiated officially. Any transfer post 27th August will reportedly not make its way into the game's very first release.

There is barely a few weeks before FIFA 18 makes a triumphant entry into the lives of gamers itching to test out this new creation by EA Sports. The game promises a whole lot and is expected to bring in big numbers.
The heart of the matter
Mbappe's transfer to PSG was finalised near the deadline day for the summer transfer window and although that particular piece of business was done and dusted in time, it is now being said that this transfer will not reflect in FIFA 18's forever updating records when the game's first release takes place on 29th September.
Along with Mbappe, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain too secured a move away from the Emirates Stadium to Liverpool for a fee close to 40 Million Sterling. The transfer was completed in time by the two clubs but will not find its way into FIFA 18's records for the very same reason. The likes of Neymar, Lukaku, Matic and Morata, however, will be playing for their new clubs as the transfers were completed well in time.
What's next?
FIFA 18 will be unveiled on 29th September on PC, PS 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. A number of different editions will be available for the game with the pre-order option also available to gamers.

It's a travesty that the EA servers will be unable to accommodate such huge deals in their annual creation as Mbappe, in particular, is a name that gamers would like to see updated as is the case in reality. Hopefully, we will see the change being made soon.
