This season has been a good one so far for Barcelona but for some of their players, it has been a season to forget. Barcelona's new signings, especially, have not fared so well and that was is one of the main reasons why they did not enjoy a great start to the season.

These players did not manage to settle in quickly and help their side win games at the start of the season. Some of them are still struggling to get enough game time and it looks like Barcelona will be cashing in on a couple of them this month or in the summer.

Here are three players who are bound to get a downgrade when the rating refresh happens:

#3 – Arturo Vidal

Signing Arturo Vidal was one of the shocking moves is Barcelona ever made in the transfer window. The signing came out of nowhere and it left everyone in the world stunned especially because he was on the verge of joining Inter Milan from Bayern Munich.

The Chilean has done very little to earn his place in the starting XI and has been a benchwarmer at Camp Nou this season. The former Juventus star was also on the verge of leaving the club after showing his anger of not playing regularly on a social media account.

Despite being out of form for a long time now, EA somehow gave him a rating of 85 in FIFA 19! He was one of the biggest mistakes they made in terms of ratings and the winter rating refresh is the best chance for them to correct it. Vidal should be pushed down to 82, at least, as he has done very little to justify the rating of 85 given to him by EA.

#2 – Malcom

From one new signing to another, Barcelona's new signing, Malcolm has done very little to show his worth at the club. The winger was another hijack deal done by the Catalan side in the summer. He was on his way to join AS Roma when the Spanish side swept in with an 11th-hour bid and signed him from Bordeaux.

Hijacking the deal has not gone the way Barcelona wanted it to and now they are looking to sell him. Reports suggest that he has an offer from China while there were few rumours in the media that Barcelona were willing to use him in 'cash plus player' bid to sign Willian from Chelsea.

The winger has a rating of 83 in FIFA 19 and for sure he will not be able to retain it when the winter rating refresh happens. Players like Ousmane Dembele and Arthur having a rating of 82, it won't be a surprise is EA push Malcolm down to 81 in February.

#1 – Philippe Coutinho

Barcelona's record signing has well and truly been one big flop at Camp Nou. The Catalan side spent a whopping £142 million to sign the Brazilian from Liverpool last January and he has done very little to prove his worth at the club.

Coutinho was given a lot of chances by Valverde at the start of the season but he did not grab the opportunities. The winger was unable to provide anything in attack and was the weak link in the team when they were counter-attacking – something he was leading the charge for at Liverpool.

Rated at 88 in FIFA 19, EA have no choice but to give him a downgrade in the Rating Refresh. Coutinho might be the Barcelona player to getting the biggest downgrade after Arturo Vidal or be on par with him.
