Manchester City have not performed the way they did last season and that cost them dearly. They are 2nd in the table and are way off the mark compared to Liverpool, and also their own performances last season.

However, that has not stopped the FIFA 19 players from getting them into their team. City players are still in high demand and there are a lot of players who are getting sold for way beyond what the actual price should be.

Here's a look at three Manchester City players who will get a downgrade this rating refresh as their performances this season have not reflected their FIFA 19 rating:

#3 – Ilkay Gundogan

When Manchester City signed Ilkay Gundogan, A lot was expected from the German midfielder. However, he has not really impressed at Etihad and is finding it very difficult to get into the starting 11.

Gundogan has a lot of qualities but it's just not able to perform well in the Premier League. His lack of form last season still got his 84 rated card in FIFA 19 but when the rating refresh happens it will be very difficult for EA to justify his rating. Compared to the other players rated similarly Gundogan has done very little to prove that he deserves such a high rating.

While a huge downgrade isn't expected EA might push him down to 82 for sure. Any rating about that will make it very difficult for EA to rate the other players in the same category. With players like Bernardo Silva and Gabriel Jesus rated at 84 and 83 respectively, Gundogan's rating of 84 makes it look like a huge mistake.

Not many FIFA 19 players will be affected by this rating change as he is not a part of the over 75% of the FIFA Ultimate Teams.

#2 – Fabian Delph

Fabian Delph was a surprise package last season. The English midfielder played as a left-back as a cover for the injured Benjamin Mendy and impressed in the role every time he got on the pitch.

However, this season he has not been able to live up to the same expectations. Delph has been sloppy, slow and also looked like the weak link in the City defense. Listed as a left-back in the game, Delph has done very little to justify the 80 rating given to him by EA.

Once again EA might not give him a huge downgrade but he will not remain at 80 is the rating refresh happens. A push down to 79 is expected with his pace and defending stats getting affected the most.

Delph is a part of a lot of the teams that have just been created in the game but the players who have been regularly playing for at least a month will not be affected as they have better players in their squad.

#1 – Eliaquim Mangala

Yes, Eliaquim Mangala is still at Manchester City. The French defender has not played a single game this season and Pep Guardiola doesn't look like he will be taking any chances with him.

The former FC Porto defender was once rated very highly at Etihad but has fallen down the pecking order real quick. He went on loan to Everton at the start of 2018 but even there he only managed to make two appearances Before heading back to Etihad.

Mangala is rated at just 77 in FIFA 19 but looking at the other players rated similarly, EA will have to do a lot to justify that rating. He might now end up being the first Manchester City player ever to get a push from gold to a silver card in the history of FIFA.
