Majority of the FIFA gamers love using Premier League players in their team. And why now? David De Gea, Paul Pogba, N'Golo Kante and Virgil van Dijk are beasts in the game. Adding to them, there is Mo Salah, Aubameyang, Aguero etc who are lethal in front of the goal.

However, despite having so many top players in the league, some of them have not lived up to their expectations. They have let their team and fans down this season and should be getting a downgrade. But still, because they are in a top league, EA might not be handing them one.

Here are 5 players who should be getting a downgrade but won't:

#5 – Nemanja Matic

Manchester United v FC Basel - UEFA Champions League

Nemanja Matic is rated at 86 in FIFA 19 and he has done very little to live up to such a high rating. The Manchester United midfielder has been sloppy and slow and also has been giving away the ball a lot of times, resulting in the open ends counter-attack.

The Serbian has not done anything to prove his worth of 86 and should ideally be given downgrade. However, as he plays for a big club like United and has slowly improved in the last month, EA is unlikely to handle a downgrade.

#4 – Mesut Ozil

Arsenal FC v Cardiff City - Premier League

Another player who is rated at 86 and has done very little to prove his worth the season is Arsenal's Mesut Ozil. The German has been missing in all big games and Unai Emery has opted to leave him on the bench or out of the squad even when he is fully fit.

Despite not doing anything this season EA is unlikely to handle a downgrade to 84 which is his ideal rating.

#3 – Romelu Lukaku

Fulham FC v Manchester United - Premier League

How and why Romelu Lukaku ended up getting a rating of 87 in FIFA 19 will always remain a mystery. The Belgian was bang average for Manchester United last season and had a decent World Cup, doing nothing really special for his country.

This season as well, he has done absolutely nothing to show that he is one of the best strikers in the world. Ideally, his rating should be around 84 or 85 (max) but EA might opt to keep him at 87 for the time being.

#2 – Vincent Kompany

Arsenal v Manchester City - Carabao Cup Final

Vincent Kompany is easily a Manchester City legend but his time in the starting XI is going to be very limited. The Belgian has lost his place to America both, John Stones, and Nicolás Otamendi – and there is no way he can make his way back into the team.

Rated at 85 in FIFA 19, Kompany is not worth it. He should be getting a downgrade for his performances but is likely to remain there as he is the club captain.

#1 – Fabinho

Blackburn Rovers v Liverpool - Pre-Season Friendly

Fabinho's signing was touted as one of the best this season but he has done very little to prove his worth. he is slowly getting into the grove but is still not worth having a rating of 85 in FIFA 19.

The Brazilian got injured at the start and when he made his way into the team, he was clearly the weak link. Jurgen Klopp opted to bench him on a lot of occasions and that has eventually helped him get back to his top form.

He has got an IF card of 87 as a CB this season but that was his only stand out performance. Apart from that, he has been nowhere close to his best and should be getting a downgrade to 84, at least.
