Final Fantasy XV's lead game designer states demo is 80% complete
Final Fantasy XV Lead Game Designer Wan Hazmer has confirmed Tabata’s statement in his latest Tumblr post
Square Enix’s upcoming Final Fantasy XV Episode Duscae demo will be out in another two months. According to game director Hajime Tabata recent interview with Dengeki PlayStation, the demo has now entered its final stages of production and is at the 80% production mark. Final Fantasy XV Lead Game Designer Wan Hazmer has confirmed Tabata’s statement in his latest Tumblr post.
Hazmer talks a bit about the demo’s development in his post, which he describes as “HELL ON EARTH”, as they are rushing to finish the last 20%. This stage involves a lot of “optimization, polishing and debugging”. He states that he has been super busy with the games development and hasn’t really had the time to go through peoples resumes and inquires for the recent job postings in Square Enix.
But while the process does seem to be quite stressful, Hamzer describes it as a “fun kind of hell”. In the end, he is more excited about fans reactions and opinions on the game once it comes out in March. He has also encouraged fans to send their valuable feedback to Square Enix regarding the new battle system and open-world exploration feature, both of which are completely new to the Final Fantasy franchise.
The game will include several features from the main game franchise, such as the day/night cycle as well as a single Summon and town exploration. Players will be able to learn how these powerful Summons will work in this new franchise.
The Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae demo will be included in the first shipment of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD Collector’s Edition. So it’s best to pre-order your copy if you want to get a hold of the demo. The game will be out on March 17th in the US for the Xbox One and PS4. Square Enix is yet to announce a release date for Final Fantasy XV.
