What’s the story?

The ESL Katowice Royale tournament that is being held in Poland has become home to some of the cosmetics that are still yet to be released by the company behind the franchise, Epic Games.

In case you didn’t know…

The Solos tournament came to a close with Vinny1x taking the top spot, followed by Atlantis Magin and Solary Kinstaar. The Duos mode, on the other hand, is currently headed by TSM #2 comprising Vinny1x and TSM ZexRow. Viruos Pro (VP Jamside, VP 7ssk7) and E11 #1 (E11 Boyerxd, E11 Crippa) follow them in second and third respectively.

The heart of the matter

As reported by fortnitenews.com, ESL’s Fortnite: Battle Royale tournament, hosted at Katowice, Poland, has seen new cosmetics that were previously not visible in the regular version of the game. Some of these include the Hayseed Outfit, Munitions Major Outfit, Sunbird Outfit and Pickaxes.

Interestingly, there has not been any mention of these new outfits even by the developers of the game.

The introduction of a new rule that allows unfettered access to players all the available in-game cosmetics gave rise to this unexpected phenomenon. Not only that, players are forced to start the game with a random cosmetic in order to maintain neutrality during the matches, which could allow us to get an, even more, closer look at these cosmetics before the close of the tournament.

It is also speculated that many of these cosmetics would probably make their way into the in-game store before the end of the next week.

What’s next?

The ESL Katowice Royale tournament will come to a close on March 3, 2019.

For all the regular Fortnite: Battle Royale users, the latest update v8.00 officially marked the launch of Season 8 with a pirate infused theme. The title is available for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and select Android devices.
