The Wildgate open beta puts you into a session with 20 players split into 5 crews, each competing to escape with the Artifact or survive until the end. The game mixes first-person combat with ship-based strategy. You’ll be exploring, collecting fuel and upgrades, and trying to keep your ship working while avoiding hazards and other crews.

You must also manage your ship — gathering ice, fuel, and ammo to keep everything running. The environments are dangerous, and your ship is the only place that offers some protection, so keeping it maintained is important.
