If you were a fan of the reward system that Riot implemented during the Worlds 2018 you are in for some good news as the reward system is returning.

Reward system is basically a program which allows everyone to earn free rewards by just watching the competitive league. The only thing to keep in mind is that you have to watch the matches via the official League of Legends website. Although the matches are also streamed on Youtube and Twitch they won't count for the possible rewards as the platforms are owned by different companies.

Riot has promised that the viewing experience will get better significantly over the course of the split. The reward system is not limited to a specific region as you can get prizes for watching your regional split too. The domestic split is about to begin, with Brazil being the first one to start the spring split on January 12 while NA LCS will be the last one start on January 26.

To be eligible for the rewards simply log in to watch.lolesports.com/rewards and make sure your account is connected. Players need to be spectating the match 10 minutes prior to the match time. You can even watch the VOD of the match and be eligible for the rewards.

Generally, players prefer Twitch and Youtube for viewing the matches, mainly due to, they being more established and easy to access. This could be one thing Riot might be planning to target. It's no secret that League of Legends is easily one of the most watched Esports if not the most and driving the general public to Riot's own website could be huge financially.

League of Legends season 9 is about to begin. There have been massive roster changes across the globe which have excited a lot of fans.
