Marvel's Spider-Man has been out since October - and even been through one season of DLC already - but Insomniac Games isn't done with the surprises. First, they offered up a playable version of the Spidey suit from Sam Raimi's Spider-Man films back in December. Now, the new "fantastic" suits teased earlier this month are available with today's game update.
In 2015, Marvel Comics cancelled their Fantastic Four comic - presumably as part of a situation involving 20th Century Fox and the Fantastic Four film right that we simply don't have time to go into right now - and renamed the group Future Foundation, while gaining Spidey as a member, as well. The slick black-and-white suit in this update is a recreation of Spider-Man's costume during that time period.

The original Fantastic Four are back in the Marvel fold once again. However, not coincidentally now that Marvel parent company Disney is this close to buying 20th Century Fox and getting the movie rights back. so the second costume is a fun look back at Spidey's first jaunt with the First Family of Marvel Comics. Playfully referred to as the "bag man" costume, it's literally the classic Fantastic Four uniform - but, instead of a mask, Peter Parker is literally wearing a brown paper bag with eye holes cut out on top of his head.
The suits are free to anyone who already owns this PS4 exclusive and will be available with the version 1.14 patch that should be downloadable sometime today. If you haven't been able to download it yet, keep checking back. It appears that it's rolling out gradually. If you prefer, highlight the game on your PS4 menu, hit Options, and select "Check for Update" if you're one of those fidgety, impatient types. Like me.
