Bandai Namco has unveiled Code Vein 2, the long-awaited sequel to the studio's 2019 souls-like adventure, during the Summer Game Fest of 2025. The reveal came with a short gameplay showcase, which displayed the new revamped combat for the game. Although no confirmed date has been given, Bandai Namco announced that Code Vein 2 will be available next year in 2026.
The game will be making its way to the PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S when it is released next year.

Code Vein has attained a cult classic status and has won the hearts of many fans since its release in 2019. Although a sequel was in high demand by the community, their voices remained unheard till the Summer Game Fest of 2025.

Bandai Namco finally unveiled the long-awaited sequel, Code Vein 2, during the Summer Game Fest 2025. The trailer not only showcased the grim world of the game but also the combat, which seems more in line with hack-and-slash than the typical souls-like formula of its predecessor.
Besides the combat, the gameplay trailer also showcased a few bosses that you will face when the game eventually releases in 2026, alongside glimpses of the plot and a look at the protagonist. It is still unclear if the upcoming RPG will follow a character creation like its predecessor's or give you a default protagonist whose footsteps you will follow.
The sequel to Code Vein will be released for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5 sometime in 2026. The game is up for wishlist on various platforms, including Valve's Steam marketplace.
The Summer Game Fest 2025 has revealed many games, including surprises like Capcom's Resident Evil 9 and RGG Studio's Project Century, which has been renamed to Stranger Than Heaven.
