Honkai Star Rail issues 120 Stellar Jades as apology after Global Distribution error

A recent server-related error that left players unable to log into Honkai Star Rail for an extended period has now been fixed, and HoYoverse has promised that everyone will be compensated for the issue. The official Honkai Star Rail account on X posted an apology and announced that compensation of 120 Stellar Jades would be issued to all players for the inconvenience.

Generally, when it comes to HoYoverse games, server and login-related errors are always few and far between. This recent outage was an anomaly, and the player base seemed quite satisfied with the speed at which developers noticed and fixed the issue.

On May 6, 2025, a huge chunk of players found themselves unable to log into Honkai Star Rail and were met with the following error message:

Global distribution error. Check network connection, restart, and try again.

This error affected players on all platforms, including PC, PS5, and mobile. The outage affected all global servers as well, suggesting it was a server-side issue rather than a client-side one.

While this issue persisted for a while, it was soon noticed by HoYoverse developers, who issued a quick fix that amended the Global Distribution Error. The developers also posted an official announcement on the Honkai Star Rail X page, mentioning that the issue happened due to a "cloud service provider error" and was completely fixed.

A compensation of 120 Stellar Jades was also announced as an apology for the error. Players who have reached a minimum of Trailblaze Level 4 on the Asia, Europe, America, and TW/HK/MO servers will be eligible to claim this compensation. The Stellar Jades will be sent to players' in-game mailboxes, and they can be claimed until July 7, 2025, 11 PM (UTC +8).
