YouTube star Darren "IShowSpeed" returned to his channel on April 21, 2024, to host a desktop livestream. A moment from the broadcast has garnered significant traction on social media, during which the content creator believed he had received a "$1 million" donation from a viewer.

While reacting to submissions on his official Discord server, the Ohio native's attention was drawn to his live YouTube chat, where he discovered that a fan had donated ARS (Argentine pesos) 1,000.00. Seeing this, he believed he had received "$1 million."

In response to the viewer's donation message, Darren said:

"God damn! Oh, my god! 'Show your feet.' Look at my feet! Look at it all! Look at my feet, bro! Get a good look at my feet! Get a good look! Get a good look! That's my feet. Oh, my god, (the viewer's name) with a one million dollar donation (the streamer starts clapping). Oh, my god! No way!"

His live audience then informed him that ARS 1,000 was the equivalent of $1. IShowSpeed was taken aback by this and checked the value of Argentine pesos in US dollars.

He remarked:

"'That's $1.' That's not $1! He sent one million arsenals. He might be from the UK. He just sent me $1.15. He sent me... why is... okay. There is no way he just made me show my feet live on the stream, and it was one dollar and 15 cents."

"Why would he lie?" - When IShowSpeed got trolled into believing he received a "$1.5 million" donation

Last year, in January 2023, IShowSpeed collaborated with controversial internet personality Adin Ross for an IRL livestream. At one point, Ross informed Darren that he had received a million-dollar donation.

After seeing it, the 19-year-old streamer exclaimed:

"Oh, my gosh! A million-dollar dono! A million dollars! One million dollars, y'all! One million dollars. One million dollars, bro. $1.5 million! This is real! That's $1.5 million."

Adin Ross then converted the currency to US dollars and reported that Darren had received a $64 donation. The Florida native said:

"We just translated it. It's not a million dollars. A million dollars in that is $64 and 17 cents. So that's not a million dollars."

IShowSpeed responded:

"Wait, really? Why would he lie? Where is he from? Indonesia?"

IShowSpeed is a well-known Just Chatting, IRL, and gaming streamer, and is widely regarded as one of YouTube's most popular content creators. On April 15, 2024, he reached 24 million subscribers on his channel and celebrated the occasion by diving into his setup.
