Nintendo News: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Sold 5 Million Copies Globally In The First Week

The Nintendo Switch is have had a great year. According to Nintendo's president - and game veteran Dr. Serkan Toto, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate sold over 5 million copies of the game in just the first week, worldwide! The Nintendo Switch has been the most popularly received Nintendo home console in the history of the company.

Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Pokemon and a few others are cult classics among Nintendo fans and gamers alike. When Super Smash Bros Ultimate released with their biggest roster so far, it seemed to have caught the attention of many fans and not just the Nintendo fanboys.

Compared to the Wii U and 3DS releases, this version of Super Smash Bros has definitely been the best one so far, in terms of character diversity, gameplay and the content that is available. Totally worth the $60!

The Nintendo Switch has also seen a lot of success with their Mario Kart, Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Pokemon Let's Go and other Mario series. Nintendo has sold more units of their Switch console than Microsoft has sold Xbox units this year.

The Switch is only about a year and a half old, but it is the first of its kind. It is the most flexible console to own, where players can connect the console to a television, but also has the option to be portable. So you get the same high-quality games no matter which environment you are playing in!
