PlayStation News: PlayStation Now Confirmed to Release in Spain, Italy, Portugal, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Sweden

Sony's subscription-based service PlayStation Now, is undergoing public beta testing in the regions of Spain, Italy, Portugal, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Sweden. The service is currently only available in the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Switzerland, United States, and United Kingdom.

Players in the newly announced regions can register for the public beta here.

PlayStation Now is available for $20/month and $100 for an entire year. It allows you to download and play games from the PS2 and PS3 era. What is more is that PS Now is also available on PC, although you can only use it to stream your games and not actually download and play them. The PlayStation cloud service allows you to save and access saved games on your PC as well. The beta program for PS Now in these regions is currently only available on the PS4. PC Users will have to wait a bit longer.

There are over 600 titles to choose from in the PS Now Service. In case you missed them, you can go back and get access to titles such as Red Dead Redemption and The Last of Us.

PS Now was initially announced in 2014 for the PS3. Players could stream different titles for the PSP and PS2 at the time. There were some complications when it released for the PS4, because the architecture of the PS3 and PS4 are different and not exactly compatible.

The PS Now uses a dedicated application to stream the different games due to the technical challenges of porting a game directly. There are also many PS4 titles such as Divinity: Original Sin available on the platform. PS Now is more popularly used than Xbox Games Pass and EA Access!
