Pokemon Sword and Shield have introduced several Gigantamax Pokemon among its 400 Pokemon (and possibly more) in the region. Gigantamax and Dynamax Pokemon are available in Max Raid Battles or to Dynamax in your own battle. The newest addition to the pool of Gigantamax Pokemon is Snorlax.

The Gigantamax Snorlax is a reverse of Torterra, with landscapes developing on its huge tummy instead of its back. Snorlax has gone from blocking the route to becoming the route. Its special move is G-Max Replenish which restores all consumed Berries in the game and gives it to Snorlax.
Gigantamax Snorlax is also available in Raid Max Battles from 4th December till early January. If you wish to have a Gigantamax Snorlax, you will have to ensure you catch one from a Max Raid Battle. Catching a regular Snorlax won't do because they will only Dynamax.

Another update which is long overdue is the official artwork of the Sword and Shield starter Pokemon. Although this is not a huge deal in terms of gameplay, they were some of the only Pokemon not reveal their official artwork. Official artwork has been a standard set by Game Freak in every single Pokemon game they have released so far.
