It's not unusual for the Resident Evil community to speculate about prospective projects, and the gaming world has previosuly been buzzing with rumors about a Resident Evil 4 remake in the works.

Village is the most recent entry in the series, and it appears that fans are waiting for some DLC to be unveiled once more. Recently, a post was shared on the official Resident Evil account that didn't reveal any details but left fans wondering as to what it may be related to:

"A rat can't run from the dragon's claws!" https://t.co/zo4s6qcbeX

The caption is a quote from the vampire woman Lady Dimitrescu, who says it to Ethan Winters during an encounter.

Fans are waiting for the Resident Evil Village DLC

RE fans in the comments are confident, or at least hopeful, that this unclear tweet links to some unknown RE Village DLC, which gamers have been expecting since the game's release last May.

There has been no official word from Capcom on whether or not more content would be added to the game as of this writing, so fans are only speculating at this point.

This isn't to imply that DLC will not be revealed at all. RE Village is one of the scarier games in the series, and it (along with the previous iteration) has helped revive and revitalize the genre.

About Resident Evil Village

youtube-cover

The game, like its predecessor RE 7: Biohazard, is a first-person shooter. It is set in a cold Eastern European hamlet that may be explored and is characterized as being "ripped directly from the Victorian era." It is also significantly larger and more immersive than its predecessor. The core village's structures and buildings may be scaled and used to battle opponents.

The game is more action-oriented than Biohazard, with protagonist Ethan Winters now having better combat skills thanks to his military training. The game's main foes, werewolf-like Lycans, are not only agile and clever, but they can also carry weapons and attack in packs, forcing the player to either utilize limited ammo, engage in melee combat, or flee.
