Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice - How to easily beat 'Snake Eyes Shirafuji' in the Sunken Valley

'Snake Eyes Shirafuji' is a mini-boss in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice whom you might come across for the first time in the Sunken Valley area of the game if you haven't explored the 'Ashima depths" yet. It's basically the same battle again in Sunken Valley, though, here there's no option to take her down stealthy at least once, which unfortunately makes the fight a little tough. But don't worry, I've got you covered.

First of all, you will be needing two things and they are:

#1.Oil Barrels(4-5)

#2.Flame Vent prosthetic.

Jump backwards when the red kanji symbol appears. You can't deflect this one.

'Snake eyes Shirafuji' has only two major attacks you need to be careful of -- one of them occurs when the red kanji symbol flashes and if you're not careful, she will grab you and inflict some major damage. The only way to escape this is by dodging backwards.

Dodge horizontally to avoid her ranged attacks.

Now the other major attack that you need to be careful about is when she shoots her gun. This attack can actually fill up your posture meter in a single shot if you're not careful and she will quickly lean in to finish you off. However, the ranged attack will give you enough to prepare yourself and dodging horizontally (not vertically) seems to be the safest bet here.

Pin her to the wall and repeatedly put on attacks to fill her posture.

Also, her posture fills up very quickly, so be sure her to pin down one of the walls and repeatedly fire attacks on her. This would not give her any chance to counter. When the red symbols flashes, quickly jump away or else every other attack can be deflected by your sword.

Throw oil barrels and use the flame vent to quickly bring her health down if you don't like deflecting or parrying.

If deflecting seems like a tough task for you, then don't worry, there's an alternate way to kill her. Quickly throw the oil barrel at her so that she gets covered in oil. Now politely deflect all her basic attacks and when she stops for a second, use the flame vent to hurt her. You can unleash a number of slashing attacks at the same time to do even more damage and her health will go down real quick.

Immediately dodge away after a few hits and keep repeating the same process until she's down and out. If you're still struggling to understand the process, then I would recommend you to watch the video below, which I made myself when I took her down using the same strategy. Here's hoping it helps!
