Fans waiting for the release of the spiritual successor to Beyond Earth will not have to wait much longer as Sid Meier’s Starships is set to release on March 12th.

Sid Meier’s Starships hope to take gamers on another unique RTS adventure which is set in the same universe as its spiritual predecessor, Civilization: Beyond Earth. The game takes place in space and encourages players to build their own fleet of starships and explore the darkness. It focuses a lot on space combat and highly configurable ships.

The game is a massive diversion from the usual Sid Meier’s titles that revolve around civilization; however, this game adheres to all the rules of past RTS titles. The game will be released for PC and iOS. This seems promising as previous 2K titles like X Com: Enemy Unknown have been ported to the mobile successfully.

Sid Meier’s Starships will be released on the PC and iOS on March 12th for $15. So, wait no longer, get ready to explore the vast expanse of space around you.
