In Search of Past Glory is the 22nd and last main quest mission in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl. It is triggered immediately after you complete the Assault on the Duga mission. It is a critical quest that not only reveals important plot points but also influences the game's ending depending on your decisions.

How to complete Search of Past Glory in Stalker 2

Here are the steps that you can follow to complete the Search of Past Glory in Stalker 2:

• Head over to the Chemical Plant on your map from where you can access the Search of Past Glory mission. After entering the Chemical plant, you will have to locate the red button to the left which will lead you to Prof. Dvupalov.

• Prof. Dpuvalov will ask you to fetch him a bottle of the magic Vodka and drink a few rounds with him. This will be followed by a cutscene and once Dpuvalov is drunk enough, he will ask you to follow him with the promise of giving you the keycard to the lab.
• Shortly after following him, you will see an artifact pop out and Dpuvalov will ask you to catch it for him. Once you complete this successfully, the professor will tell you that he has given the keycard to Shcherba.
• Now your new objective will be to retrieve the keycard from Shcherba at Ahroprom. Upon meeting Shcherba, he will ask you to search the X5 lab for any papers related to the controller project and bring them back to him for the keycard.
• You will enter the labs beneath Ahroprom through the sewer connection which is between the four water tanks just outside of where you meet Shcherba.
• Once inside the underground labs, find a passage through a broken wall which will lead you to the door where you can use the keycard to the X5 lab. Beware of the rats that can cause trouble along the way.
• After starting the generator, search the lower levels of the X5 lab to retrieve Dpuvalov’s records and Shcherba’s papers, the second of which is optional. You will also encounter a large group of blind dogs while exploring the pavilion on your way up.
• Once you're halfway through, Maj. Dvoryankov will inform you that a major emission is on the way and ask his soldiers to take shelter. Just before reaching the exit to the outer world, you will have to encounter several zombies and mutated beasts.
• After exiting the lap, head over to the Roofed Warehouse marked on your map. Once you’ve reached the warehouse, you will find both Dpuvalov and Shcherba together. Deliver both the papers and record to Shcherba and Dpuvalov, respectively before asking the latter about the installation of the Suppressor. He will then ask you to kill Faust.
• Head over to Rostok on your map and visit the screw in that area. Here, you will find Spark, who will install the suppressor for you.
