Ubisoft games experiencing server issues and login problems

Ubisoft games seem to be facing some server problems. There has been no official explanation from Ubisoft as to why their servers are facing problems, though a few people are suspecting that it’s due to an attack by The Lizard Squad.

The group of notorious hackers have been attacking quite a few networks lately, with PSN going down earlier this week. The group plans to carry out a series of attacks throughout December. They recently announced an attack on the EA servers but so far have not targeted Ubisoft. So there could likely be another reason for these server issues.

An official announcement on Uplay’s Twitter page states the following:

So if you are playing a Ubisoft game and you are experiencing login problems, then it’s probably due to the server issues.

With the servers going down, a few online only games like The Crew are now unplayable. The Crew needs the online servers otherwise the game is inaccessible, so it’s extremely annoying for Crew players. A number of people are also reporting that Uplay seems to be down as well, which would affect other games.

Hopefully, Ubisoft will be able to solve these issues soon and players can get back to gaming.

We are aware of the current connection issues effecting various Ubisoft services and preventing logins. This is being actively investigated.
