Video: FIFA 18: Manchester City defender Nicolas Otamendi turns into cricket umpire in hilarious demo glitch
FIFA 18 is all set to release later this month and the hype surrounding the game is building day-by-day. It is expected to bigger and better than ever, with improved features and gameplay as the makers EA Sports look to take fans as close to the real thing as possible.
The demo version of the game was released earlier this month and while fans have been happy with the new edition, one user has shared a hilarious glitch from the game that is surely going to leave you in splits.
Reddit user critical_exit posted a video from a game of his that featured Manchester City and Vissel Kobe and in an inexplicable turn of events, City defender Nicolas Otamendi channeled his inner love for cricket and stood stationary like an umpire signalling a wide ball.
The Argentine defender can be seen standing still with his arms out wide as the Japanese side get set to take a corner. The attack then fizzles out as the ball goes out of play and a goal kick is awarded to City.
Hoping that Otamendi will awaken from his slumber, the keeper plays a short pass to the Argentine but there is no reaction from him. The Kobe striker easily takes the ball, goes past the static defender and puts the ball into the back of the net, much to our bewilderment.
While the glitch featuring the City star is a once in a blue moon moment, EA will surely look to ensure these are not repeated in the final version of the game.
