Quantic Dream's most recent interactive sci-fi crime drama Detroit Become Human released back on 25 May 2018 and is closing into a total of 3 million units sold worldwide, making it the fastest selling Quantic Dream title ever.

David Cage-CEO and founder of their Paris based studio revealed this during an interview with Gamesbeat. He further went on to state that the game has sold exceptionally well across Asia including Japan.

According to Cage, the team wanted Detroit Become Human to be a thought-provoking experience that would also evoke some sensitive real-world issues. He expected the game to have a polarising response which is obvious because of the sensitive issues the game actually touches. Though he further expressed his joy and surprise indicating that the game surpassed his as well as fans expectations and did exceptionally well when it comes to scoring. The game currently has a Metacritic score of 87/100.

Aside, talking about the game's success he went to comment on the company's most recent tie-up with NetEase Games, the online games division of Chinese tech giant NetEase Inc.

NetEase Games recently acquired a minority stake of the Quantic Dream studio and will help expand the market of the company's game in the Asian market.

David Cage also confirmed that the studio is expanding, possibly hiring for their next AAA title which they teased early this year. The studio currently had about 200 people working on it and are expected to expand till 300 which is very good news for the fans of the games these people make.

Detroit Become Human is exclusively available on PS4 and has a Metacritic score of 78/100.
