If you want a more defensive character with great offensive skills to balance it out, Fiona is the class you should start Vindictus Defying Fate with. She wields a longsword in one hand and a shield in another, presenting a traditional hack-and-slash combat similar to shield builds in Dark Souls games.

As Fiona, you will focus more on blocking and parrying enemy attacks to present yourself with opportune moments to strike back. You can pick Fiona as your starting character if you prefer a more tactical approach to real-time combat.

As such, most of his skills revolve around smashing enemies to the ground by jumping on them from the air to inflict massive damage.

For defense, you can use her greatsword to parry incoming attacks, which rewards those who are more precise and have better reflexes. If you like the two-handed greatsword builds in other Souls-like games, pick Delia as your starting character in Vindictus Defying Fate.
