XBox One is the most searched video game console of 2014 according to Google trends

According to a latest Google Trends list, Xbox One is the most searched video games console this year. Google recently put up a Google Trends list consisting of all the things that people have searched on Google in 2014. And in the “Consumer Electronics” category, there is a top 10 list of electronics that people have searched for, with Xbox One being the only console on the list.

The list contains mostly tablets and smartphones, which is not very surprising, and it seems that Xbox One is the only console to make it on the list. The PS4 does not appear on the list this time, although the reason could be that searches of “PlayStation 4” and “PS4” are not counted as the same thing. Also the list was for the Global Search terms and therefore is not limited to American users.

The Google Trends “Consumer Electronics” list for 2013 was a bit different than this year’s list, with the PlayStation 4 at the third spot and the Xbox One in the fourth position. It’s no doubt that what people search for on Google is what is trending now, so it looks like the Xbox One is the trending console for the year, at least according to the list.
