Playing XI Updates
James Faulkner has been left out of the squad due to illness with Riley Meredith recovering back in time to make the squad.
Hobart have finally roped in a replacement for Tymal Mills in the form of young Afghan leggie, Qais Ahmed. He should slot in to side at the expense of Jarrod Freeman with the option of D'Arcy Short's leg breaks also available to Matthew Wade.
Ben McDermott has happy memories against the Renegades with his only BBL hundred also coming against the same opposition and will be one to watch out for.
Possible XI: Wade(C&WK), Short, Jewell, McDermott, Bailey, Milenko, Archer, Qais, Rose, Meredith and Moody.
Marcus Harris returns to the squad for their last league match enabling the Renegades to try out their strongest XI just before the play-offs commence.
Aaron Finch is slowly but steadily finding his feet in the league and is due for a big one. The Renegades have been utterly sensational with the ball this season with Kane Richardson leading the attack with 22 wickets to his name.
Possible XI: Finch(C), Harris, Harper(WK), Cooper, Nabi, Harvey/Webster, Christian, Boyce, Richardson, Wildermuth and Gurney.
Fantasy Tips and Suggestions
Wicket-keeper: Matthew Wade has been at his destructive best and is the preferred option for this slot although Sam Harper isn't a bad option at all. The Renegades keeper has been decent with 279 runs to his name, which is the highest among the Renegades' batsmen.
Batsmen: Aaron Finch and Ben McDermott are must haves in the fantasy team. McDermott scored a brisk fifty in their previous encounter with the Tasmanian also having a hundred against the same opposition.
He has been lukewarm in the last couple of matches and should be itching to make a big one. Caleb Jewell and Tom Cooper are also good options to go along with.
All-rounders: D'Arcy Short has been the best batsman in the BBL for the last two years with over a 1000 runs to his name. Short has also picked up vital wickets this year making him a valuable pick alongside Mohammad Nabi.
Bowlers: Kane Richardson and Jofra Archer have been brilliant of late and are the spearheads of their respective bowling attacks. Along with the aforementioned duo, the likes of Qais Ahmed, Clive Rose and Cameron Boyce are also great options to go for.
Captain: Aaron Finch and Ben McDermott are the front-runners to assume the mantle of captain. D'Arcy Short is also a highly rated player who has done well this season and could well be chosen by many to be the captain of their fantasy sides.
Fantasy Suggestion #1: Matthew Wade (WK), Caleb Jewell, Ben McDermott, Tom Cooper, Aaron Finch, D'Arcy Short, Mohammad Nabi, Cameron Boyce, Jofra Archer, Harry Gurney and Clive Rose. Captain: D'Arcy Short
Fantasy Suggestion #2: Sam Harper(WK), Ben McDermott, George Bailey, Aaron Finch, Tom Cooper, Caleb Jewell, Daniel Christian, Kane Richardson, Harry Gurney, Qais Ahmed and Jofra Archer. Captain: Aaron Finch
