After back-to-back morale boosting victories, a rejuvenated Melbourne Renegades side take on the Brisbane Heat in the second of the three matches taking place on Sunday. With the match being held at the Geelong Cricket Ground, the Heats will be looking to get back to winning ways despite the loss of their premium pacer, James Pattinson. This match is sure to be a feast for all fantasy players.
Squads to choose from:
Cameron Boyce, Dan Christian, Tom Cooper, Zak Evans, Aaron Finch, Marcus Harris, Mackenzie Harvey, Jon Holland, Tim Ludeman, Joe Mennie, Mohammad Nabi, Kane Richardson, Usman Khan Shinwari, Will Sutherland, Chris Tremain, Beau Webster, Cameron White, Jack Wildermuth.
Max Bryant, Joe Burns, Ben Cutting, Brendan Doggett, Sam Heazlett, Matt Kuhnemann, Marnus Labuschagne, Josh Lalor, Chris Lynn, Brendon McCullum, James Pattinson, James Peirson, Jack Prestwidge, Matt Renshaw, Alex Ross, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Mark Steketee, Mitch Swepson
Playing XI Updates:
Melbourne Renegades: After a comfortable win over the same opposition a couple of days back, the Renegades will not look to change much in terms of personnel. Usman Khan Shinwari has been replaced by Englishman Harry Gurney and will be entrusted with the overs at the death.
Possible XI: Harvey, Harris, Harper(WK), Cooper(C), Nabi, Christian, Webster, Wildermuth, Mennie, Gurney and Boyce.
Brisbane Heat: Daniel Vettori, the coach of the Brisbane Heat would lament James Pattinson's in unavailability for the rest of the tournament but would want Jack Prestwidge to step up and put in defining performances. Joe Burns has been dropped for the match which could see the return of Marnus Labuschagne and his leg-spinners.
Possible XI: McCullum, Bryant, Lynn(C), Renshaw, Labuschagne, Pierson(WK), Cutting, Prestwidge, Doggett, Swepson and Mujeeb.
Fantasy Tips and Suggestions:
Wicket-keeper: Sam Harper is in pristine form for the Renegades after winning back-to-back man of the match awards. His glovework behind the wickets has also been good and should be picked indefinitely for this match. Heat keeper, Pierson's batting position makes it all the more simple to pick Harper.
Batsmen: Chris Lynn and Marcus Harris are the marquee batsmen of their respective teams. Both of them are in good touch and should be able to put in sizeable scores at Geelong. Captain Tom Cooper was among the runs against the Heats and could back that up with another good score against a weakened Heat bowling attack. Either Max Bryant or McCullum could fill in the fourth slot with both openers in good six hitting form. Bryant has had a few starts in the BBL so far but hasn't been able to convert them. This could be another opportunity for the youngster to prove his mettle.
All-rounders: Daniel Christian and Mohammed Nabi have been among the runs and wickets consistently for the Renegades and are invaluable to any fantasy side. Adding Ben Cutting to the equation just spices things up for a great fantasy outing.
Bowlers: Mujeeb ur Rahman has been great for the Heat, although he would love to have a few more wickets to his name. Well, this might just be his day for a great outing. Brendan Doggett should wield the ball in both the power-play and the death overs considering his ability and should be chosen along with new recruit, Harry Gurney. Cameron Boyce has also been in fine form and can also be a viable option.
Captain: Chris Lynn is too good a player to not be considered for the mantle of captain. While Daniel Christian would also have a big say in it, fantasy intellects can also opt for the likes of Harris and Bryant.

Fantasy Suggestion #2: Sam Harper(WK), Brendon McCullum, Chris Lynn, Marcus Harris, Mackenzie Harvey, Daniel Christian, Ben Cutting, Harry Gurney, Joe Mennie, Mujeeb ur Rahman and Brendan Doggett. Captain: Marcus Harris.
