Playing XI Updates:

Tshwane Spartans:

After yet another win in MSL 2019, Tshwane Spartans will not tinker with a successful combination. AB de Villiers is amazing form for Tswhane Spartans with a superb fifty guiding his team to a win over Paarl Rocks. Dean Elgar and Heinrich Klaasen have also done well this season although it is their bowling unit that has done most of the damage. The presence of Roelof van der Merwe and Wiaan Mulder bodes well for the squad balance. With Morne Morkel and Tom Curran firing on all cylinders, Tswhane Spartans would be considered favorites for this game.

Possible XI: Elgar, de Bruyn, de Villiers, Klaasen(C&WK), Biljon, Mulder, van der Merwe, Curran, Ngidi, Morkel and Sipamla

Cape Town Blitz:

The Blitz could field an unchanged side after a Dane Vilas special undid their good work earlier this week. Although Quinton de Kock isn't firing, the likes of Janneman Malan and Liam Livingstone have more than made up for him with consistent performances. While David Bedingham also made an impression against Durban Heat, they have ample batting depth with Philander also showcasing his batting prowess in MSL 2019. Dale Steyn, who currently has 12 wickets to his name, is certainly one to watch out for along with Wahab Riaz.

Possible XI: de Kock(C&WK), Malan, Bedingham, Livingstone, Asif, Nawaz, Philander, Wahab, Magala, Mgijima and Steyn.

Fantasy Tips and Suggestions:

Wicket-keeper: Quinton de Kock has underwhelmed this season for Cape Town Blitz. Although he has scored 179 runs, his strike-rate of 155 stands out. He should be able to score some runs at the top of the order as he is picked in the fantasy side. One of Heinrich Klaasen or David Bedingham should also suffice as the second wicket-keeper option.

Batsmen: AB de Villiers is in fine form this season with two consecutive fifties. He is a must have in the side along with the likes of Dean Elgar and Theunis de Bruyn. Another viable option is Janneman Malan, who has been sensational in MSL 2019. With 262 runs this season, Malan looks good for more runs in what is a crucial game for either side.

Allrounders: Roelof van der Merwe put in a man of the match performance in the previous game against Paarl Rocks. With three wickets in the middle overs, he was crucial on derailing Faf du Plessis and co. His form makes him a worth-while option for this game along with Liam Livingstone. An extra all-rounder could also be picked with the likes of Wiaan Mulder and Mohammad Nawaz on offer.

Bowlers: A number of quality options are available in the bowling department for this game. One option that stands out is Morne Morkel, who has been very consistent this season. His long-time colleague, Dale Steyn and Wahab Riaz are viable options while Tom Curran should also pick a wicket or two in this game. One of Lungi Ngidi or Sisanda Magala should also suffice as the final pick in the fantasy side.

Captain: AB de Villiers' form makes him the frontrunner for the mantle of captaincy with his superlative knock against Paarl Rocks strengthening his case as well. While Liam Livingstone is also due for a big score in the middle order, much is expected from Cape Town Blitz captain, Quinton de Kock, who hasn't scored a fifty in MSL 2019 so far.

Fantasy Suggestion #1: Quinton de Kock, David Bedingham, AB de Villiers, Dean Elgar, Theunis de Bruyn, Roelof van der Merwe, Liam Livingstone, Morne Morkel, Tom Curran, Lutho Sipamla and Sisanda Magala. Captain: Liam Livingstone, Vice-Captain: AB de Villiers

Fantasy Suggestion #2: Heinrich Klaasen, Quinton de Kock, AB de Villiers, Theunis de Bruyn, Janneman Malan, Roelof van der Merwe, Liam Livingstone, Lutho Sipamla, Tom Curran, Sisanda Magala and Wahab Riaz. Captain: AB de Villiers, Vice-Captain. Quinton de Kock
