AFC Cup Preliminary Round, Bengaluru FC vs Transport United: Start time, live streaming information

Bengaluru FC
Bengaluru FC won the Federation Cup last season beating Mohun Bagan in the final

Bengaluru FC is set to take on Bhutanese side Transport United FC in the second leg of the AFC Cup Preliminary Round on January 30, 2018. The match will take place at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru, India.

Bengaluru FC traveled to the picturesque mountains of Thimphu, Bhutan last week for the first leg of the preliminary round to face Transport United FC. Albert Roca, the Bengaluru FC manager fielded a second-string Bengaluru side that was missing most of the star players.

The match finished 0-0 in an encounter that saw Transport United FC assert home advantage though they failed to score and take advantage of the depleted Bengaluru side. Sunil Chhetri, the Bengaluru skipper did not play the away leg and could feature for the Blues tonight as they aim to secure their spot in the AFC Cup.

Bengaluru FC has a good history in the AFC Cup having reached the finals in 2016 and losing in the regional final last year. Albert Roca will hope his side can repeat their feats in the continental competition this year as well.

Bengaluru FC have registered only four foreigners - Erik Paartalu, Juanan, Toni Dovale and Dimas Delgado for the competition leaving out star striker Miku, who has been on fire in the ISL.

If Bengaluru FC wins the second leg, they will progress to the playoff match for the AFC Cup spot in the Group. They will face the winner of the preliminary round match between the second placed clubs from the Maldives' Dhivehi Premier League and Bangladesh Football Premier League.

Bengaluru FC will aim to keep their Asian challenge alive on the back of good form in the ISL and the added motivation from the previous years in the AFC Cup.
